Current legal position
The Ministry's live Labour Codes library lists the Code, its implementation instrument, the final 2026 Central Rules and section-specific notifications. The final Central Rules were notified as G.S.R. 343(E) on 8 May 2026.
The 2026 Rules expressly supersede the Code on Wages (Central Advisory Board) Rules, 2021 and listed predecessor rules, except for matters done or omitted before supersession. Open the supersession note →
Coverage control
First identify the appropriate Government. The Central Rules principally govern central-sphere establishments. Other establishments require the relevant State rules, minimum-wage notifications and State implementation instruments.
