Critical legal-status note

The Code’s commencement is provision-specific. Sections 15, 16, 143 and 164 have partial/split commencement treatment, while section 142 interacts with an earlier instrument. Every page states its legal-status control rather than describing the entire Code as uniformly commenced.

  2. Open the Code section and exact official text.
  3. Follow linked Rule, Form, Schedule, scheme/regulation and notification.
  4. Apply State overlays where the State Government is appropriate.
