Credit Card Rewards Calculator — Indicative Best Card for Your Spending
💳 Credit Card Reward & Milestone Calculator
32 Indian cards · Statement-cycle (calendar-month/quarter approximation) caps · Realised-value modelling. Enter your spend — compare net realised value, milestones, and indicative best card for your profile.
SPENDING INPUT MODE
Quick mode uses 7 broad categories — convenient, but spend that should be merchant-specific (e.g. Amazon vs general online) is rolled into a general bucket and will not receive merchant-specific accelerated rates. Switch to Detailed for category-level estimates and per-rule caps — note: statement cycles are approximated as calendar months/quarters, not your card's actual billing date, and per-transaction minimums/floors are approximated at the monthly-aggregate level since individual transaction amounts are not collected.

Per the supplied policy dataset: non-cash benefits (lounge, golf, vouchers, memberships) default to ₹0 until you mark them as something you'll actually use, in each card's row below. Points with no official fixed ₹ value remain unranked (shown as "unvalued — set your own ₹/point") until you supply one.

Enter your monthly spending across 24 granular categories (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Swiggy, Zomato, Airtel bills, Google Pay utility spends, fuel by brand, tax/GST, and more) — the calculator runs each category through that specific card's actual policy rules: merchant-specific accelerated rates, monthly/quarterly/statement-cycle caps, milestone thresholds tested against your real per-quarter and per-month spend, and your chosen redemption route. It then shows net realised value after fees, caps, redemption probability and redemption fees — not just an advertised headline rate — so you can compare which card delivers the best value for your actual spending pattern.
A card with a higher annual fee can still be net-positive if its reward rate on your top spending categories is significantly higher. Always check your chosen redemption route's value per point — point values vary widely between cards, and some routes have no official fixed value until you select one or supply your own — see our Credit Card Interest Trap guide to avoid costly mistakes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which credit card gives the most rewards in India? ▼
It depends on your spending mix. Travel spend: Axis Atlas, HDFC Infinia. Online/shopping: Amazon Pay ICICI (5% on Amazon for Prime members), Flipkart Axis (5% Flipkart/7.5% Myntra). Flat cashback: HSBC Live+/Cashback. Use the calculator above to compare based on your actual monthly spend — note some popular cards (e.g. SBI Cashback) are currently shown only in "Awaiting Verification" and excluded from rankings until their official terms are confirmed.
Is a high annual fee credit card worth it? ▼
Premium cards (₹5,000–₹10,000 annual fee) typically become worth it at ₹5–6 lakh+ annual spend. Benefits like airport lounge access (worth ₹1,500–2,000/visit), golf rounds, milestone bonuses, and accelerated reward rates can easily total ₹15,000–₹30,000 in value. The calculator's fee vs benefit analysis quantifies the exact break-even for each card in your shortlist.
What is APR on a credit card? ▼
APR (Annual Percentage Rate) on Indian credit cards is 36–42% per annum (3–3.5% per month). This interest applies only when you carry a balance — i.e., don't pay the full statement amount by the due date. Always pay the full statement balance to avoid interest. One month of interest on ₹50,000 balance = ₹1,500–₹1,750 — wiping out months of rewards.
How do reward points convert to cash value? ▼
Conversion varies widely by card. HDFC Regalia: 1 point = ₹0.25–0.50 (SmartBuy/travel). Axis Magnus/Atlas: 1 EDGE Mile = ₹1 towards flight/hotel. SBI Cashback: direct statement credit at 5% (no conversion). Always compare effective cashback rate (annual value ÷ annual spend) — not raw points. This calculator does exactly that, letting you compare cards on a level playing field.
