39. Travelling allowance. - (1) The travelling allowance of an official member of the Board shall be governed by the rules applicable to them for the journey performed on official duties and shall be paid by the authority paying the salary. (2) The non-official members of the Board shall be paid travelling allowance for attending the meeting of the Board as per the instructions issued by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India from time to time. Explanation.- For the purposes of this rule, the expression “official member” shall mean regular government officers, officiating as members of the Board in that capacity and “non-official member” shall be who are not “official members”.
