Section 8 — Requirement as to minimum capital

The Act sets minimum authorised capital at ₹30 crore, subject to RBI power to raise it up to ₹50 crore. Issued capital must be at least ₹20 crore, subject to RBI’s statutory power to increase it within the authorised-capital ceiling. Minimum paid-up capital at any time must be at least 75% of issued capital.
