Chapter IIRegistration of credit information companies

What this section provides

RBI may cancel registration for cessation of business, breach of registration conditions, failure of eligibility conditions, legal/directional non-compliance or inspection failures. Ordinarily RBI provides time to cure specified defaults, unless delay would prejudice public interest, banking policy, the credit system, borrowers or other CICs. A reasonable opportunity of being heard is required before cancellation.
