What this section provides
CICRA is generally additional to, rather than in derogation of, the Companies Act and other applicable laws except where CICRA specifically provides otherwise. Parallel obligations may arise under banking, company, technology/data-protection, insolvency and sectoral laws. Compliance matrices should therefore record cross-law overlays rather than treating CICRA as an exhaustive code.
