What this section provides

A company cannot carry on the business of credit information without an RBI certificate of registration, subject to the Act’s transition provisions. The prohibition is entity-level: incorporation alone does not authorise credit-information business. Read with sections 4–8 and Regulations 4–5 for the application and registration framework.
