What this section provides
The statutory architecture requires prescribed steps for accuracy, completeness and protection against loss, unauthorised access, use or disclosure. Rules 18–29 allocate security, collection, accuracy, disputed-data, updating, access and secrecy controls among credit institutions, CICs and specified users. Current RBI directions add governance, data-quality, correction and cybersecurity expectations.
