ITR e-Verification Missed: 30-Day Rule, ITR-V and Condonation
Filing the ITR is not the end of return filing. The return must be verified. If e-verification or ITR-V submission is missed, the return may not be treated as valid until the delay is condoned through the permitted route.
For broader context, see the Income Tax and Salary Hub.
Official rule to remember
The e-Filing portal e-verification manual says that from 01/08/2022 the time-limit for e-verification or submission of ITR-V is 30 days from the date of filing the return of income.
