Chapter IIIRegistration
What this section provides
A person having a definite cultural, economic, educational, religious or social programme may accept foreign contribution only under registration or prior permission as applicable. Prior permission is donor, amount and project/purpose specific; registration is the broader continuing route subject to certificate conditions. The June 2026 Rules add purpose-and-State/UT scope controls for registration and subsequent scope changes.
