What this section provides
Creates a statutory framework for disclosure before courts, tribunals or authorities. The existence of a legal proceeding does not erase privacy/security duties; disclosure should be limited to what the legal process authorises or requires. Maintain a legal-demand register identifying requester, authority, scope, date, data disclosed and approval.
