What this section provides
CICs may require member credit institutions/CICs to furnish credit information by notice; members must provide it subject to the Act and prescribed framework. CICs may provide information to specified users only for permitted purposes and in accordance with the Act and RBI directions. Disclosure outside the authorised chain or for an impermissible purpose is restricted. Regulations 7–10 and current reporting directions are central overlays.
