Chapter VFunctions of credit information companies
What this section provides
Permitted business includes collecting/collating borrower trade, credit and financial-standing information; furnishing credit information; credit scoring; research; and RBI-specified lawful activities. A CIC cannot engage in business outside the permitted statutory forms. Membership and fee powers are ancillary to carrying on the permitted business.
