What this section provides
RBI may issue binding directions where necessary for public interest, credit institutions, specified users, CICs, borrowers/clients or credit-system management. Directions can govern the conduct of regulated credit-information activity and are a central source of current operational obligations. The 2025 RBI CIC Directions and sector-specific Credit Information Reporting Directions must be read with this section.
