Legacy FC-9 corrected: election-candidate reporting in FC-1 Part C
The historical FC-9 was election-candidate reporting. Use the actual current FC-1 Part C example for that purpose; foreign hospitality is the separate FC-2 route.

When and how this form is used
The original2011 Rules’ Form FC-9 expressly concerns a candidate’s foreign-contribution receipts under section21/Rule18. The inherited page’s claim that FC-9 was foreign-hospitality reporting is factually wrong. Hospitality uses FC-2, a different trigger and applicant class.
The2020 substituted schedule uses FC-1 Part C for the candidate intimation. It covers receipts within180 days immediately preceding nomination, with reporting within45 days from duly nominated status. The source’s old FC-9 number must not be presented as a new current form.
The example receives the₹2 lakh gift61 days before nomination and prepares intimation19 days after nomination. A below-₹10 lakh gift can still fall within candidate reporting; the current relative-intimation threshold is a different Rule6 test.
Section3’s restrictions on a candidate accepting foreign contribution remain separate. This example assumes the gift was received before candidate status and no foreign contribution was received afterward; disclosure is not permission to accept a prohibited future contribution.
