What this covers

PARIVESH (Pro-Active and Responsive Facilitation by Integrative Environmental System) is the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change's single-window online portal (parivesh.nic.in, now on its PARIVESH 2.0 version) for environmental, forest, wildlife and Coastal Regulation Zone clearance applications - all four clearance types are filed and tracked through the same system.

How the portal is used

Applications, Terms of Reference requests, EIA report submission, public-consultation records, appraisal committee agenda and minutes, and the clearance order itself all move through PARIVESH; physical/offline applications are not accepted for the clearances the portal covers, making the portal the authoritative system of record for a project's clearance history.

Why it matters

Because PARIVESH consolidates multiple clearance types (environment, forest, wildlife, CRZ) that a single project may need together, checking a project's PARIVESH record is the most reliable way to verify what clearances it actually holds, rather than relying on a proponent's own representation.
