Current limits

Self, spouse and dependent children: ₹25,000, or ₹50,000 where the insured category is senior-citizen.
Parents: a separate ₹25,000, or ₹50,000 for senior-citizen parents.
Preventive check-up: ₹5,000 in aggregate, within—not over—the above limits.
Senior-citizen medical expenditure is permitted within ₹50,000 where no health-insurance premium is paid for that category.

Except preventive check-ups, eligible payments must be made other than in cash. HUF preventive-check-up claims are not included in this calculator.
