Calculator use and evidence rule

A calculator can test arithmetic, not legal classification. Enter a rate only after verifying the HSN or SAC, description, transaction date, supply location, exemption or reverse-charge conditions, valuation basis and any cess. Save the assumptions and official source used with the output. Where facts are mixed or the notification entry is conditional, obtain professional review rather than treating the computed amount as a legal determination.
