Mismatch: period / each head / totalJuly–September 2026 / all zero / total zero; former sections 42/43 matching mechanism is not applied
Eligible-credit basisInvoices, receipt of goods, GSTR-2B, section 16 conditions and absence of blocked credit are assumed verified
Interest, penalty, fee and RCMNot discharged with ITC; none arise in this scenario

Reconciliation

Eligible credit INR 10,000 less utilisation INR 10,000 gives nil CGST closing credit. State Tax has a separate identical working, not duplicated into this Central Tax view. Availability in GSTR-2B alone does not establish every section 16 condition. No direct manual entry into the credit ledger is claimed.

How this form moves the matter forward

  1. Check section 16 conditions and section 17 restrictions before claiming credit.
  2. Apply tax-head utilisation rules; CGST credit cannot pay SGST directly and IGST credit is exhausted as rule 88A requires.
  3. Match each credit debit to the liability-register credit; use PMT-04 for an unexplained difference.

Period and legal consequences

Sections 42 and 43 were omitted from 1 October 2022. Historical provisional/mismatch sub-tables are expressly inactive in this current-period model. Credit cannot pay RCM tax, interest, penalty or fees.
