162. Compounding of offences.- The Commissioner may allow compounding on application in FORM GST CPD-01 after
checking statutory eligibility. The current rule prescribes a graded amount linked to the tax involved and the offence
category, subject to the minimum and maximum in section 138; payment is communicated in FORM GST CPD-02,
normally within thirty days. Failure to pay invalidates the compounding order.
