Section 2(80B) - Online Money Gaming Supply architecture · High-impact CLEAN OPERATIVE BARE TEXT

(80B) “online money gaming” means online gaming in which players pay or deposit money or money’s worth, including virtual digital assets, in the expectation of winning money or money’s worth, including virtual digital assets, in any event including game, scheme, competition or any other activity or process, whether or not its outcome or performance is based on skill, chance or both and whether the same is permissible or otherwise under any other law for the time being in force; FININ2MIN DECODE Online gaming where players deposit money or money’s worth, including VDAs, expecting winnings; skill/chance and legality under another law do not change this GST definition. PRACTICAL EXAMPLE Players deposit tokens purchased with money and can win money or VDAs. The definition applies regardless of whether the game depends mainly on skill. EXCEPTION / PROFESSIONAL ALERT The definition is technology- and outcome-neutral: skill, chance and legality under another law do not determine whether it is online money gaming for GST.
