Mutual Fund Explorer
Filter a governed scheme dataset by category, plan, TER and return fields without presenting a proprietary best-fund score.
How to use this Mutual Fund Explorer
Fund Explorer is a transparent filter, not a ranking engine. It is designed to work with a governed scheme dataset containing category, plan, NAV, TER and selected return fields. Users choose the conditions and the page returns matching rows; Finin2min does not convert those filters into an opaque 'best' score.
Calculation logic
The tool validates every imported numeric field before filtering. Category matching is case-insensitive text matching, plan matching is normalized for case, TER must be at or below the chosen ceiling, and the selected return field must meet the chosen floor. Because the filters are mechanical, every result can be reproduced from the same input dataset.
Worked interpretation
Filtering for a category, Direct plan and a TER ceiling can narrow a dataset, but it does not tell the user whether any remaining scheme is suitable. The next analytical steps are risk-return history, portfolio overlap, benchmark context and goal alignment.
What this result does not prove
NAV, TER, categories and performance change over time. A production dataset should record source authority, effective date, retrieval time, parser version and hash. Return thresholds can also induce performance-chasing and should never be presented as a recommendation. Current SEBI scheme categorisation and AMFI data sources should govern category and scheme metadata.
Methodology, data and limitations
This Finin2min tool separates calculation from recommendation. Inputs, return assumptions and stress parameters remain visible and editable. Results are educational scenarios, not forecasts or suitability advice.

Questions & answers
What does the Mutual Fund Explorer calculate?
Fund Explorer is a transparent filter, not a ranking engine. It is designed to work with a governed scheme dataset containing category, plan, NAV, TER and selected return fields. Users choose the conditions and the page returns matching rows; Finin2min does not convert those filters into an opaque 'best' score.
What assumptions drive the result?
The tool validates every imported numeric field before filtering. Category matching is case-insensitive text matching, plan matching is normalized for case, TER must be at or below the chosen ceiling, and the selected return field must meet the chosen floor. Because the filters are mechanical, every result can be reproduced from the same input dataset.
Can I treat the result as a forecast or recommendation?
No. The output is an educational scenario generated from the values entered. It does not predict market returns, recommend a security or establish suitability for an individual investor.
How should I handle market or mutual-fund data?
Use a current, complete dataset with a recorded effective date. Where the page requires imported scheme, NAV, TER, portfolio or industry data, Finin2min should publish or retain the source authority, retrieval date, parser version and file hash.
What are the main limitations?
NAV, TER, categories and performance change over time. A production dataset should record source authority, effective date, retrieval time, parser version and hash. Return thresholds can also induce performance-chasing and should never be presented as a recommendation. Current SEBI scheme categorisation and AMFI data sources should govern category and scheme metadata.
