DIR-6: correction of DIN-holder particulars
The DIN/DPIN holder reports a qualifying change or correction of personal particulars. A company’s director appointment or resignation belongs to the separate DIR-12 process.

- 21 October−10 October =11 days. The actual change/correction event and Rule 12 period must be established from genuine evidence; a model date is not proof of compliance.
- The official kit says to correct name/father’s name/date of birth in PAN before DIR-6. Passing a dummy number through a training PDF is not PAN verification.
- For mobile/email/residential changes, use the substituted Rule 12 A DIR-3 KYC-Web route effective 31 March 2026; do not blindly reuse older DIR-6 residence instructions.
