DIR-3C: company intimation after receiving a director’s DIN
The company communicates its directors’ DIN information under section 157 and Rule10A(2). This is not the director’s DIN application, annual KYC, or a general substitute for DIR-12 appointment/cessation reporting.

For this narrowly assumed historical-record regularisation case, an existing fictional company receives Mira Example’s section156/DIR-3B DIN intimation on 10 October 2026. Her long-standing appointment was 1 June 2007. The company prepares the intimation on 21 October; it does not invent a new appointment.

Check the dates, amounts and legal branch
- Rule10A(2) says the company furnishes DIR-3C within 15 days of receiving the section156 intimation: 10 October +15 =25 October 2026. A 21 October draft is 11 days after receipt.
- Rule10A(1) expressly concerns directors functioning on or before 30 June 2007 who had not intimated DIN. This example labels its unusual historical-record setting instead of promoting DIR-3C as a routine new-director appointment form.
- The company’s 15-day receipt clock differs from the director’s own DIN-intimation obligation and from DIR-12. A preparatory document does not erase a past default.

- Confirm that the real facts and received statutory DIN intimation require DIR-3C; preserve historical appointment and actual receipt evidence.
- Reconcile company totals and the specific director subset, DIN approval/receipt/appointment dates and current address with the DIR-3B attachment.
- Submit using the actual authorised verification and prescribed secretary certification within the applicable receipt clock; keep the genuine acknowledgement and historical record trail.
