NCLT e-Certified Copy Service 2026: Application, Fee, Download and Authenticity Checklist

The 8 September 2026 NCLT SOP creates a detailed online path for free/paid e-Certified Copies, including one-copy-per-application, a seven-day paid-copy payment window and portal authentication.

The September 2026 SOP is the controlling source for the detailed e-Certified Copy process. It also makes the Facing Sheet integral to validity and provides the authentication route using application/facing-sheet details or the QR code.
Application
Select party type, Bench, case type, case number and the specific order/document. Parties upload vakalatnama as applicable; third parties use “Any Other”, state the reason and upload an affidavit showing bona fide interest.
Payment and download
After approval of a paid request, pay through the integrated gateway. If the payment debit is not reflected, the SOP says not to file a fresh application; approach the designated Registry official with transaction particulars. Download both the e-Certified Copy and digitally signed Facing Sheet.
Authentication
The receiving court/authority can authenticate through the NCLT portal using the application number and facing-sheet number or QR workflow. Preserve the original digitally signed PDFs; alteration can undermine verification.
Worked example
A legal team needs two certified copies of the same order for separate filings. The SOP’s one-copy-per-application and one-use authentication model means the team should not rely on a single downloaded file as an endlessly reusable certified copy.
